We have set out our terms & conditions for using The Video Message Company website and services below. We may update them from time to time so please do check them regularly, and if you do not agree please do not use our services. If you continue you are deemed to have accepted our terms.

1. About us

The Video Message Company website is owned and run by VIDEO MESSAGE COMPANY LTD. We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales. Our company number is 11188804 and our registered address is 12 Queens Drive, Thames Ditton, Surrey, KT7 0TW.

2. Using our website

It is important to us to give you the best possible service we can.

Access to our website is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the services we provide without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason any of the services are unavailable.

We take your privacy very seriously. Please read our privacy policy and be sure that you are happy with it..

3. Our services

All Content, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted is the sole responsibility of the person who originated such Content and we cannot take responsibility for such Content. You confirm that if you send us a video message including children under 18 years old that you have parental/guardian rights for them to appear in a video message as part of a compilation.

We will contact your friends and family to invite them to make a video for your compilation.  We will not be held responsible for anyone failing to respond to our emails. Please check the email addresses before you give them to us.  If an email bounces back or we do not get a response, we will let you know.

We will give instructions to your family and friends on how to record their videos and send them to us.  We cannot be held responsible for the content and quality of videos and photos.  We will delete any videos that might be offensive, harmful or inappropriate.

We do not take responsibility for videos that do not arrive in time.  Participants will be given a deadline and will be sent at least two reminders.

If you want to add video messages after the deadline date or make any changes, there will be additional charges depending on the time needed.

If we agree to include copyrighted music, you will only be able to play the video privately. If you are planning to play your video in a venue check that they have a PRS license first and if not, you will need to buy one. For more information go to https://www.prsformusic.com

If you want to put your video on social media, you will need to select royalty free music.

If you decide to play your video on social media, it is your responsibility to check that your family and friends give their consent.

You will be responsible for saving your video on a hard drive or a memory stick unless you have purchased your video on our branded USB stick, which will be posted to you by registered post.

4. Payment methods

We ask for £100 deposit, which will be invoiced by email.  We cannot start work until the deposit has reached our account. When the video is ready, we will email an invoice for the balance. You may change the price package or add other items at any time, and we will confirm the order change by email. You can pay by bank transfer or Paypal.  The video will not be delivered to you until the invoice is settled.

5. Refusal of transaction

We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of so refusing or by reason of unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

6. Delivery arrangements

The completed video will be delivered to you by WeTransfer.com.  If you have ordered and paid for a USB stick in a Video Message Co gift box, it will be posted to you by registered post unless you request next day delivery or a courier service which will incur an additional charge.

7. Force majeure

Where we or a vendor are prevented from or delayed in carrying out obligations due to circumstances beyond our or the vendor’s reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, governmental actions, war or national emergency, riot, civil commotion, fire, explosion, flood, inclement weather, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labour disputes, or restraints or delays affecting carriers or an inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials then either our or the vendor’s performance of its obligations shall be postponed for the period of time that the circumstances continue.

8. Feedback and complaints

We value your feedback and welcome all comments. We endeavour to ensure that you are satisfied with every aspect of our service. If however you have an issue or concern please contact us immediately and we will do our best to resolve it to your satisfaction.
